Program of the 13th CECBL Annual Meeting – A Coruña 2023

Hereunder is the program of the 13th Annual Meeting of the CECBL that will be held on September 29th and 30th in A Coruña (Spain).

This programme is definitive, so you can book your trips!

Please fill up and send your inscriptions as soon as posible. This will help us manage the number of necessary rooms and avoid possible problems.

When assigning rooms at the venue hotel, the order of entry of the reservations will be scrupulously respected.

Dates and City of celebration: September 29 and 30, 2023 in A Coruña (Spain).

Place of Meeting: Hotel Eurostars Atlántico (****), located in Avenida Jardines de Méndez Núñez, s/n, A Coruña.

Hotel prices:

  • Double Room for individual use, including buffet breakfast (€ 95,00 per person and night, taxes included).
  • Double Room, including buffet breakfast for two (€ 52,50 per person and night, € 105.00 the room, taxes included).
  • Triple Room, including buffet breakfast for three (€ 45,00 per person and night, € 135.00 the room, taxes included).
  • Parking: It must be managed when you arrive at the hotel since they do not accept reservations. The hotel does not have its own parking. They have an agreement with a public parking located in front of the hotel. You cannot park on the street in the hotel area.

The indicated prices are exclusively for the three nights of the meeting, from Thursday to Friday, from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. Additional days can be booked but the reservation and prices are not guaranteed until there is confirmation from the hotel. The club will make the hotel reply extensive to the guest, who will be allowed confirm or adjust the reservation as desired.

ACTIVITY PROGRAM

THURSDAY, 28

Arrival of the participants to the Hotel by their own means.

  • 22:00 h: Opening dinner-cocktail in a room of the hotel itself with the following menu:
      • Cocktail: 1) Ham with tumaca bread. 2) Galician empanada (tuna and meat). 3) Focaccia, goat cheese and caramelized onion. 4) Creamy tuna and piquillo peppers. 5) Atlantic Croquettes. 6) Curried quail lollipops. 7) Smoked salmon cubes with soy sauce.
      • Desserts: Mini French pastries (truffles, profiteroles, lioness, chocolate rocks, Santiago cake bites, …)
      • Drinks: Water, soft drinks, beer, white wine D.O. Albariño and red wine D.O. Rioja.

The price of the dinner-cocktail is: €32.00 per person (VAT included).

FRIDAY, 29

Tourist visit with the following program:

  • 09:00 h: Departure from the hotel by bus to the Tower of Hercules.
  • 09:15 h: Arrival at the Tower of Hercules.
  • 10:00 h: Departure from the Tower of Hercules towards the fishing village of Malpica.
  • 10:50 h: Arrival in Malpica.
  • 11:30 h: Departure from Malpica towards the dolmen of Dombate.
  • 12:00 h: Arrival at the Dombate dolmen.
  • 13:00 h: Departure from the Dombate dolmen to the Mar de Ardora restaurant located in As Revoltas on the Buño-Laxe road.
  • 13:15 h: Arrival at the Mar de Ardora restaurant.
  • 13:30 h: Lunch with the following menu:
      • Starters: Seafood pie, grilled octopus and grilled scallops.
      • Main course: Grilled fish from the area or entrecote with mushroom sauce (to choose).
      • Dessert: Lemon ice cream with raspberry sauce.
      • Drinks: “Rías Baixas” white wine and “Mencía” red wine, beer or water. Coffee and infusions.
  • 16:00 h: Departure from the restaurant to A Coruña.
  • 17:00 h: Arrival in Coruña, and entrance to the Estrella Galicia Mega Museum (visit to the factory, the museum, and pint pulling).
  • 19:30 h: Departure from the museum to the San Pedro viewpoint.
  • 19:45 h: Arrival at the San Pedro viewpoint.
  • 20:30 h: Departure from the San Pedro viewpoint to return to the Hotel of departure.
  • 20:45 h: Arrival at the Eurostars Atlántico hotel.

The total price of this activity that includes the tickets to the Dombate dolmen and the Estrella Galicia museum, tirage and tasting included, lunch at the Mar de Ardora restaurant and the necessary transfers by bus is €82.00 per person (VAT included).

Dinner at the Palexco complex (200 meters from the hotel) and DYC miniature presentation.

  • 21:30 h: Dinner will be held on the third floor of the Palexco events complex, located 200 meters from the hotel, with catering service from the Boketé restaurant with the following menu:
      • First and second course: 1º) Cream of leek and potato with minced seafood and 2º) Stewed beef cheeks with creamy mushroom rice.
      • Dessert: Caramelized cream millefeuille with red berries.
      • Drinks: Albariño wine “Rías Baixas” and Rioja crianza, beer, soft drinks and mineral water. Coffee and infusions.
  • 23:00 h: Presentation of the DYC miniature (15 year old single malt) by the DYC Brand Ambassador, Alejo Saade.

The price of the dinner is: €39.60 per person (VAT included).

SATURDAY, 30

Tradings

  • From 08:00 h at 09:00 h: Assembly of tables for trading. (Table price): € 20.00 for members and € 25.00 for non-members, inc. VAT).
  • From 09:00 h at 11:30 h: Minibottles trading.
  • From 11:30 h at 11:45 h: Coffee break. (Free).
  • From 11:30 h at 12:15 h: Auction of miniatures contributed by those attending the meeting. Attendees who wish to put a miniature up for auction must deliver them to the club’s managers upon arrival at the room.
  • From 14:00 h at 15:00 h: Minibottles trading (continuation)
  • 14:00 h: Lunch-coctel for Club members and collectors in the trading room withn the following menu:
      • Cocktail: 1) Galician Empanada (tuna and meat). 2) Shredded beef mini pitas. 3) Assortment of cheeses (San Simón, Manchego and Brie). 4) Fried cod and black garlic ali-oli. 5) Crispy prawn and kimchee mayonnaise.
      • Desserts: Small glass of rice pudding and natural seasonal fruit skewers.
      • Drinks: Water, soft drinks, beer, white wine D.O. Albariño and red wine D.O. Rioja.

The price of the lunch-coctel is: €28,00 per person (VAT inclued).

  • From 15:00 h at 15:30 h: Wrap up and ending.
  • From 16:00 h at 17:00 h: General Assembly of members.
  • From 17:30 h at 20:30 h: Free time to enjoy the city.

Farewell cocktail

  • At 21:00 h: Departure on foot from the hotel to El Oceánico, located 800 meters from the hotel.
  • At 21:30 h: Farewell cocktail of the meeting at the terrace of El Oceánico with the following menu:
      • Cocktail: 1) Sweet and sour cream cheese with its croutons and extra virgin olive oil. 2) Shrimp and scallop skewer. 3) Seasonal premium tomato tartare with burrata cream. 4) Skewers of Galician cow croca with café de Paris sauce. 5) Mellow rice with vegetables and artichoke with Iberian pluma.
      • Dessert: Creamy cheesecake.
      • Drinks: Water, soft drinks, beer, white wine D.O. Rías Baixas and red wine D.O. Ribera del Duero.

Cocktail price: € 45.00 per person (VAT included). The actual price of the cocktail is €55.00, the club paying the difference.

  • At 23:00 h: Awards ceremony for the annual pastime contest.
  • At 23:30 h: End of the cocktail and closing of the meeting.

Note: The companions have the morning of Saturday free.

Return home of assistants.
