Program of 9th CECBL Annual Meeting – Toledo 2019

Please find decribed here below. the program of activities to be developed during the 9th Annual Meeting of the CECBL that will be held on September 27 and 28 in Toledo (Spain).

This program is definitive, so potential attendees can already program their trips.

It is strongly recommended that the inscriptions are populated and sent as soon as posible, because it will allow us to avoid possible problems of lack of rooms. The order of entry of reservations will be scrupulously respected. Dates and City of celebration: September 27 and 28, 2019 in Toledo (Spain). Welcome dinner will be held the 26th in the Hotel premises.

Place of Meeting: Hotel Beatriz Auditorium (****), located in Concilios de Toledo s/n, Toledo.

Hotel prices:

• Double Room for individual use, including buffet breakfast (€ 89,00 per person and night, taxes included).

• Double Room, including buffet breakfast for two people (€ 49,00 per person and night, € 98.00 the room, taxes included).

• Triple Room, including buffet breakfast (€ 39,33 per person and night, € 118.00 the room, taxes included).

• Parking is free until full capacity is reached. They do not admit reservations.

The prices indicated are exclusively for the three nights of the meeting, from Thursday to Friday, from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. If additional days are desired, they can be booked but the reservation or the indicated prices are not guaranteed as long as the hotel does not confirm it. The club will communicate the Hotel answer to the guest, who will be able to confirm or withdraw this reservation extension.

P R O G R A M     A C T I V I T Y

THURSDAY – 26

Arrival of the participants to the Hotel by their own means.

  • 21:30 h: Dinner-cocktail in the hotel’s restaurant with the following menu::
    • Cocktail: Cream of mussels with prawns. Hummus with smoked salmon and herbs pesto. Iberico ham . Cheese Manchego type D.O. Teaspoon of mozarella and cherry tomato with vinaigrette and basil. Foie gras beanbag with carrot cream. Mini seafood salad in an apple vinaigrette. Braised sausage with roasted potatoes. Small cup of mushrooms sautéed with ham. Prawns spun with potatoes. Rustic croquettes of squid. Crunchy caramelized onion with hazelnuts. Vermilion quail villeroy. Cod fritters in tempura with the aroma of cumin.
    • Dessert: Pastry selection.
    • Winnery and drinks: White and red wines from the region, mineral water, soft drinks, beers and juices.

The cocktail-dinner price is: € 31.00 per person (taxes included).

FRIDAY – 27
 

Tourist visit with the following program:

  • 09:30 h: Departure from the hotel by bus to the Alcázar.
  • 10:00 h: Guided visit to the Alcázar and the museum.
  • 11:30 h: Departure from Toledo by bus to the winery “Finca Loranque” and wine tasting of the lands. This winery is located in the town of Bargas, 13 km from the city of Toledo and some chapters of the TV serie Cuéntame, were filmed in the location.
  • 13:15 h: Return to the Plaza de Zocodover in Toledo.
  • 14:30 h: Lunch at the Alfileritos 24 Restaurant, very close to the Plaza de Zocodover, with the following menu:
    • To share (for each group of four people): Iberian ham with bread and tomato. Goat cheese salad with caramelized onions, walnuts and cecina de León. Creamy boletus croquettes. Eggplant rods with honey and sesame. Marinated loins of mackerel with saffron and vegetables and peach. Deer in taquitos with mushroom sauce.
    • Desserts: Fruit skewer and Manchego Flan with passion fruit stew.
    • Winery and drinks: Agua Solán de Cabras and wine of Castilla Lands, Hacienda Casa del Valle.
  • 16:30 h: Guided tour of Toledo Monumental walking the streets of the Jewish Quarter and its most emblematic monuments: Cathedral, Church of Santo Tomé, Synagogue of Sta María La Blanca (entrance ticket included) and the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes (entrance ticket included).
  • 18:30 h: Departure by bus to the hotel.
  • 19:00 h: Delivery and classification of special miniatures for the auction.
  • 21:00 h: Dinner at the Hotel Beatriz restaurant with the following menu:
    • Starter centerpiece: Crunchy cream cheese filling with foie, marinated salmon and wakame. Mini crab samosa. Finger of poularda great frying. Sticky rice with vegetables, lean meat and seafood. Loin of nice poached on potato and zucchini millefeuille with Donostiarra sauce.
    • Dessert: Profiteroles filled with cream with hot chocolate.
    • Winery and drinks: White and red wines from the Region, water and coffee.
  • 23:00 h: Auction of miniatures provided by the attendees of the meeting.

The total price of this activity: guided visit to the Alcázar and its museum, visit to the Finca Loranque winery, tasting included, lunch at Alfileritos 24, guided visit to the Monumental area of Toledo, dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, as well as transfers by bus is € 98.00 per person (taxes included).

If you only wish to attend the dinner and auction at the hotel restaurant, the price is € 30.00 per person (taxes included).

 

SATURDAY – 28

Trading

  • From 08:00 h. at 09:00 h: Assembly of tables for trading. (Table price): € 20.00 for members and € 25.00 for non-members, taxes included).
  • From 09:00 h. at 11:30 h: Minibottle trading.
  • From 11:30 h. at 11:45 h: Coffee break.
  • From 11:45 h. at 14:00 h: Minibottle trading (continuation).
  • 14:00 h: Spanish wine for Club members and collectors in the trading room, with the following menú:
    • To share: Crunchy puff pastry with creamy foie, salmon and guacame. Mallorcan sobrasada Macaron with Santoña anchovy. Serrano ham center. Manchego D.O. Cane of loin . Mini veal burger with cream cheese. Mini varied pizzas. Mini pita with candied rib and kimuchi. Potato sandwich filled with mozarella and ham. Samosa of king crab great frying.
    • Dessert: Cheese mouse with walnuts and currants.
    • Winnery and drinks: White and red wines from the Region, water, soft drinks, beers and juices.

Spanish wine price: € 24,00 per person (Taxes included).

  • From 15:00 h. at 16:30 h: General meeting of members.
  • From 16:30 h. at 18:00 h: General meeting of members.
  • From 18:00 h. at 21:00 h: Free afternoon. The departures to the center of Toledo can be done in taxis or municipal bus, which stops at the hotel parking, to meet with the companions.
  • At 21:00 h: Farewell cocktail of the meeting at the Restaurant in the Terrace of the Carlos V Hotel, located in the center of Toledo, with the following menu:
    • Cold Snaks: Grissini of Iberian ham accompanied by salmorejo. Tables of local cheeses, quince and walnuts. Bonbon garrapiñado of foie and red fruits. Beet Salmorejo and smoked sardine Gilda. Canned salad of asadillo manchego and partridge. Crunchy Chinese bread, cod brandade and orange twist. Salted cone of prawns, guacamole and chili filaments.
    • Hot Snaks: Iberian ham croquettes, chicken curry and black pudding sausage. Artichokes in tempura with romescu sauce. Marinated tuna taco, black sesame and green apple ali oli. Iberian sirloin skewers, vegetables with odor. Mini-hamburger with venison and thyme ali oli.
    • Sweet Snack: seasonal fruit skewers and white chocolate.
    • Winnery and Drinks: Water, Soft Drinks, Beer with and alcohol free, Sangria “La Azotea”, Semi-sweet Needle Wines, Red and White wine.

Cocktail price: € 41.00 per person (Taxes included).

  • At 23:30 h: • End of the cocktail and return to the hotel by bus (included in the price of the cocktail).

Note: The companions have the morning and afternoon of Saturday free.

Return home of assistants.
